Shri K.J Thomas,Kadanthottu started a form of Chit Fund in 1959 in Pattathimukku in Changanacherry. The aim was to guide workers, teachers/ professors and local business who were not able to manage their cash and would tend to lose and/or misspend the same. Giving the workers an avenue for saving, provide for exigencies and also secure their tomorrow and for their future generations. The Business slowly grew as itentered the gold loan business along with the same other financial products such as mortgage loans, auto finances.
